Tunis: Opening of the Trial in the “Plot Against State Security” Case

The first hearing in the trial of the “plot against state security” case opened today at the Tunis First Instance Court.

The hearing was held remotely for nine defendants currently in custody, while those who remain free attended in person. Members of the defense, families of the detainees, local and international media representatives, and various political figures were present.

As a reminder, the “plot against state security” case, which started on February 11, 2023, involves 40 individuals, including politicians, former officials, lawyers, and businessmen.
