Tunisia-10 years in prison against magistrate arrested in possession of currencies

The first criminal chamber specializing in financial corruption affairs to the Tunis court of first instance convicted the magistrate, apprehended in possession of a large sum in foreign currency, to ten years in prison, accompanied by a fine of 800 thousand dinars.

It should be remembered that the agents of a customs brigade stopped this magistrate on the road linking Jemmal to Monastir and entered a sum equivalent to 1.5 million dinars in foreign currency, hidden in her vehicle.

Note that the former Superior Council of the Magistracy had suspended this judge and lifted immunity. It likewise appears on the list of 57 magistrates revoked by the President of the Republic on June 1, 2022.
