Tunisia – 12 personalities between magistrates, deputies and ministers under house arrest

Attorney Malek Ben Amor and member of the “Lawyers for the defence of rights and freedoms” confirmed this Wednesday that since July 25, severe rights violations have been carried out by the authorities. He started with military court cases for civilians, and above all, cases like Facebook posts.

As was the case with MP Yassine Ayari. He then mentioned the abusive house arrest, and he stated that this measure taken in the name of exceptional measures has, among others, involved twelve personalities among magistrates, deputies and ministers.
