Tunisia-1,325 doctors left Tunisia in 2023 alone!

The president of the Union of Private Sector Doctors, Khemais Zaid, stated that 1,325 physicians left Tunisia during the year 2023.

Zaid declared, on the airwaves of Mosaïque FM, that the grounds which push for the emigration of doctors are multiple, including the conditions in which doctors work, rejecting that the reasons are only material.

He added that the preventive detentions of doctors and the recent death of psychiatrist Mohamed El Hajji in custody in Bizerte are also considered reasons pushing young doctors to emigrate.
