15 suicide cases and attempts were recorded on September with one tried being children under 15, said the Tunisian Social Observatory of the Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights report for September 2020, on “mass protests, suicide, violence, and migration.”
According to the report, Male accounted for 80 percent of the total number of victims of the observed cases of suicide and attempts. The age group range from 16 to 45 years is the most suicides, as the number of suicide victims of this age group reached 7 victims, including two women.
Suicide victims are distributed in 8 governorates, 3 cases in Tunis and Gafsa, 4 cases in Nabeul, and one case each in Kairouan, Jendouba, Bizerte, Sousse, and Sidi Bouzid.
