The remains of 18 illegal migrants were buried Saturday at Ghurabaa cemetery in Zazis. Red Crescent official Mongi Slim told “Tunisie Numerique”.According to Slim, the migrants were buried in mass tombs due to the local cemetery insufficient space.For now, a land was acquired and transmitted to the local municipality to inter the left bodies within two months.Slim promptly confirmed the buried bodies underwent genetic analysis. The discovered bodies were properly buried in Zazis after the Governorate of Gabes declined to bury them. According to the Tunisian Red Crescent, Tunisia’s coastguard was able to retrieve the bodies of all 82 migrants. The vessel capsized after setting off for Europe from Libya. Only three people miraculously survived this catastrophe.
