Tunisia-1818 Fund: Total donations received amounted to 204.97 TND

The chief of staff of the Minister of Health announced this Wednesday, November 4, 2020, during his hearing by the Parliament’s health committee that the total donations of the 1818 Fund have so far reached 204.97 million dinars.

He said 55.51 million dinars have been spent so far, of which one million and 200,000 dinars have been allocated to improving hospitals.

Recall that on October 14, the Director General of Health, Fayçal Ben Salah, had specified that 146 billion had been allocated to programs being completed since July, in particular the acquisition of equipment and material intended for services. resuscitation of drugs which should arrive in Tunisia in November.

An amount of 3 billion has also been allocated to immunize agents in the health sector.

He was also keen to point out that the sums from the 1818 Fund are spent through a national committee formed by the ministries of health, finance and industry, and under the supervision of the ministry of defense.
