Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, the regional director of health in Medenine Jamel Eddine Hamdi reported the discovery of the first case of “Florona” in the region. Hamdi clarified that the 28-year-old individual caught Covid-19 and the flu at the same time, adding that it is a rare case.
“The genome sequencing was done as soon as medical professionals caught flu-like symptoms in the young man,” adds Hamdi.
Hamdi confirmed, in the same context, that the latter is doubly vaccinated, indicating that his state of health is stable. According to the regional health directorate, the person concerned will be confined.
