Tunisia-1st day of war between Ukraine and Russia: No flour or semolina

Tunisie Numérique ‘s reporter noted this Thursday, February 24, 2022, that basic goods such as flour and semolina are not available in immense quantities in some large commercial areas in Tunis. The stalls are nearly empty, there are only a few packets.

On the first day of the dispute between Ukraine and Russia, two countries that are among the world’s largest producers and exporters of wheat to many nations such as Tunisia, a disturbance in the course of this market were recorded.

One wonders then, what would be the outcomes of this war on our grain market, particularly since Tunisia imports annually about 75% of its wheat needs from foreign markets?
