Tunisia-2 cases of West Nile virus in Gabes

The deputy regional director of basic health in Gabes, Anouer Hafi, announced today, to Tunisie Numérique, that two cases of West Nile virus have been registered in the region.

The first case involves a sixty-year-old whose contamination was confirmed 3 weeks ago. He received the required treatment in a private clinic, but unfortunately, he died. It is important to note that the virus in question was not the cause of this death, indicates our speaker

Concerning the second case, the person’s state of health is stable, according to Anouar Hafi.
