The vice-president of the Tunisian League for Human Rights, Bassem Trifi declared, this Wednesday, September 30, 2020, that a defence team initially formed of 22 lawyers intends to seize justice against deputy Fayçal Tebbini after his “humiliating” comments about lawyer and feminist activist, Bochra Belhaj Hmida.
In a statement to the TAP, Trifi said that in addition to the judicial process, the League will work to defend freedom of expression while combating violations of personal freedoms and verbal violence targeting women in public spaces.
