About 30 irregular migrants were rescued this Saturday, November 7, 202 by a unit of the sea force near Kerkennah, governorate of Sfax.
Of different nationalities, the group of migrants included 7 women and a nine-month-old child (11 from Congo, 10 from Ivory Coast, 3 from Mali, 3 from Tunisia, 1 from Angola).
After their arrest, they revealed that they had set sail from the coasts of Sidi Mansour in Sfax on the night of November 5 to 6, with the intention of reaching the Italian coasts but that the engine of their boat had broken down at about 70 km from Kerkennah.
