Tunisia-29 parties risk suspension of their activities

The Ministry of Human Rights, Relations with Constitutional Bodies and Civil Society announced n a statement that its services had first issued statements calling on political parties to regularize their status and fulfil the obligations legally attached to them.

The ministry further stated that it had issued warnings to 190 parties, calling on them to take account of the above-mentioned violations.

“In coordination with the state litigation services, legal authorizations have been issued to suspend the activities of 29 parties which have continued to break the regulations, 12 of which have been the subject of complaints to dissolve them, ”, the ministry added.

The ministry called on all parties in violation to speed up the resolution of their situation in order to avoid the consequences of the prescribed punitive measures.
