Tunisia: 2nd known round of legislative elections

Farouk Bouasker, president of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) hinted, in a declaration granted, yesterday in Al Watania, that it is possible that the second round of the legislative elections will be held on January 29, 2023.

He added that immediately after the announcement of the final decisions concerning the 11 appeals filed against the pronouncements of judgment rendered by the administrative court, relating to the appeals brought against the preliminary results of the first round of the legislative elections, and the approval of the electoral calendar, a second round can be held.

The announcement of the final results must, in principle, be announced on January 19, 2023, knowing that the ISIE announced the preliminary results of the first round of the legislative elections, on December 19, with a participation rate of 11.22%.
