Tunisia: 30 kg of cannabis washed up by the sea in Tabarka

A Tabarka maritime guard unit stopped, on the evening of Friday, February 18, 2022, off the coast of the region, a plastic bag floating on the water and comprising 30 kg of cannabis. This finding was made on the sidelines of a routine operation carried out off the coast of Tabarka by the Rouissiya Surveillance Center and the Maritime Guard.

A bag was spotted near the coast floating on the surface of the water, and after examining it, the guards discovered that it contained wafers of cannabis. In consultation with the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of Jendouba, the quantity of cannabis discovered was seized and an inquiry was opened to determine the origin of the drug, reports Mosaique FM.
