Tunisia-$ 425,000 allocated for the renovation of Amphitheatre of El Jem

The United States ‘s Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation has granted Tunisia $425.000 for the restoration and renovations of Amphitheatre of El Jem.
Overseen by Professor Hajar Karimi and The National Heritage Institute, the portfolio ranked second among 40 thousand.
The project will aim to increase the Amphitheatre capacity and improve its state. The site is listed by UNESCO  since 1979 as a world heritage site.
