Member of the steering committee of the Tunisian Forum of Economic and Social Rights (FTDES) Mounir Hssine announced at a press conference held today that the privatization of education has begun with kindergarten and preschool education which today host ‘over 90% of the children.
He added that a study by the FTDES confirmed the failure of the national education system both quantitatively and qualitatively. This has led to an increase in the number of people using private education by 500%, in the sense that the number of students in private schools is 5 times greater than that registered last year.
