Tunisia-6 months suspended prison sentence for Zied El Heni

The Criminal Chamber of the Court of First Instance of Tunis passed down a six-month suspended prison sentence against journalist Zied El Heni. This legal decision follows public comments by the journalist involving the Minister of Commerce.

Zied El Heni saw himself in court following his comments about the minister, which were considered contentious. His appearance before the Criminal Chamber attracted special attention, given the sensitive nature of the case involving a media professional and a leading political figure.
