Tunisia-6 Tunisians stranded in Philippines repatriated by special flight

A flight operated by the Philippines departed on Sunday from Manila international airport to Tunisia with 6 Tunisian nationals on-board who have been stranded in the country since March following the COVID-19 pandemic. This special flight is provided by the Philippines for the repatriation of its nationals.
According to a statement published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this flight is set to arrive in Tunis Sunday night. “It is part of the close friendship which links Tunisia and the Philippines and was organized in coordination between the authorities of the two countries and their respective embassies.”

The ministry recalled that two flights had been organised last May 15 and 21 for the repatriation of Tunisians stranded in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand on-board a military plane of the Tunisian Air Force to ensure the return of Tunisians who were stranded abroad due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
