Tunisia-80% of Tunisians own houses

Minister of State Property and Land Affairs Noureddine Selmi declared that around 80% of Tunisians own houses.

Speaking in a symposium on the occasion of World Habitat Day, he said that the housing situation in Tunisia opposed to neighbouring countries and Arab states are not very severe.

He pointed out that Tunisia has 3.3 million residences allotted to 2.7 million families, with 20% having the right to housing constitutionally and 80%

owning houses.
