Tunisia – A big thank you for the friends of Tunisia!

Tunisians have just had a ray of hope in the gloomy image of the tragedy they are encountering. They were comforted to learn that they can always count on their friends in times of hardship. The medical and humanitarian aid which continues to arrive at Tunis airport, as well as at the docks of the port of La Goulette, is a delight to see.

Friends of Tunisia are flocking its side and airlifts compete for the right of access to the airport’s airstrip. Tunisians who believed themselves detached from the rest of the world, so much their leaders have achieved “a mess” for ten years, feel relieved to see that this is not the case and that they can continually count on the support of their “traditional friends”.

The very ones that some of our distinguished politicians do not hesitate to denigrate and attack of colonialist tendencies. These friends have revealed to the Tunisians that they are up for the solidity of historical bilateral relationships, and appear to have taught a lesson to those who desired to do without them and look elsewhere, on the side of a few dark  ragheads..

A big thank you, accordingly, to our French, Italian, American, Algerian, Saudi and Emirati friends. And … thank you, all the same, for the others, who made themselves rather cautious when we had a great need for them and their support
