Tunisia-A memorandum to ministers .. Appointments are subject to the approval of the Prime Minister

Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi announced a set of recommendations to ministers and state clerks concerning appointment procedures for senior civilian jobs.

The Prime Minister requested for the need to follow a set of procedures, including checking that the legal conditions necessary for appointment to the relevant senior civil position are fulfilled and that the position is vacant.

He also called for proposing three nominations for each career plan, in addition to not inviting the concerned candidates to start work, and not to announce the nominations for civilian jobs before obtaining the prior approval of the Prime Minister.
