The regional delegate for agricultural development in Medenine Ammar Al Jemai told Tunisie Numérique that following the discovery of cases of sheep pox in a place of livestock breeding in Ben Guerdane (governorate of Medenine), the delegation of regional Agriculture has mobilized to curb the effects of this highly infectious and often deadly disease in winter, according to him.
The speaker believed that this disease does not represent any risk for the health of sheep in summer and does not constitute a danger to human health. Jemai confirmed that the delegation managed to treat sheep despite the incurability of this disease.
