Tunisia-A soldier found dead in Sidi Bouzid: An extremist arrested

Sidi Bouzid’s National Guard units in cooperation with the National Guard’s anti-crime directorate captured a young man in his twenties suspected of being implicated in the assassination of a military man discovered dead in downtown Sidi Bouzi, Mosaique FM reports.

The deceased carried traces of assault with a sharp tool. According to the first elements of the inquiry, the suspect left jail in November for assaulting a police officer. The suspect was the last person to be seen with the victim on his motorcycle. His statements are contradictory.

A first report was drawn up against him for belonging to a terrorist organization and a second for drug trafficking after the police uncovered cannabis at the time of his arrest at dawn on Wednesday.
