Tunisia-A young man sets himself on fire in Kasserine

A young man set himself on fire this morning in the  Martyrs square in the city centre of Kasserine, Tunisie Numérique’s correspondent reported.

He was moved to the regional hospital to receive the necessary treatment. Medical sources confirmed to Tunisie Numérique that his state of health is critical. According to initial data, the young man turned out to be the brother of an official at the Ennour municipality who had already conveyed suspicions of corruption within the said establishment.

According to the same source, the young man set himself on fire because of the pressure exercised on his sister. For her part, Mayor Fatma Mahmoud explained that the transfer of civil servants from one department to another is done usually since the law authorizes this, confirming that the municipality has not exerted any form of pressure on the aforementioned civil servant.
