Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, international relations expert and former diplomat Abdallah Abidi remarked on the expulsion case of secretary general of the European Union Confederation Esther Lynch.
Abidi estimated that the process is diplomatically acceptable, and some countries can declare unwanted persons such as ambassadors or members of an embassy if their interests are assigned.
He has likewise added that the State is now held at the level of the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to justify the reasons for the expulsion of this union official.
In addition, the former diplomat emphasised that the sovereignty of the States is crowned and that the regime must justify why it has taken this measure with its foreign partners.
And to ensure that all unions in various countries are not in harmony with their regulations and that European systems do not protect in all cases, and if a union official breaks the law in Tunisia, it means that Tunisia has the right to expel them.
