Tunisia-Abdelhamid Jelassi resigns from Ennahdha movement

Ennahdha leader Abdelhamid Jelassi has decided to resign from his party, his wife Monia Brahim, former Ennahdha MP told TAP agency.

Jelassi has informed Ennahdha about his resignation from all the party’s structures and will officially submit it on Thursday, his wife pointed out without giving reasons on his resignation.

She said the document of his resignation will provide details on his decision.

Abdelhamid Jellassi resigned as Ennahdha vice-president on January 28, 2015.

Since 2011, a number of Ennahdha leaders have resigned from the party, particularly Secretary-General Hamadi Jebali (March 5, 2014) as well as Secretary-General Zied Ladhari (November 26, 2019).
