Health minister Abdellatif Mekki received European Union ambassador to Tunisia Patrice Bergamini.
During the meeting, Patrice Bergamini communicated the EU’s willingness to continue to assist Tunisia in this time of health crisis due to the new coronavirus pandemic by securing material and financial aid.
He further evoked the significance of the EU-funded “Essaha Aziza” (Precious Health) programme directed at improving and equipping the first health care line in Tunisia, in order to develop the national prevention programmes against the multiple diseases.
On this opportunity, the two sides also underscored the importance of harmonising efforts and sharing expertise in order to efficiently fight the coronavirus.
