Tunisia-Abdellatif Mekki: Reopening borders is a necessity

Health minister, Abdellatif Mekki affirmed that the plan for reopening the borders is being put in place describing the task as challenging.

The reopening of borders is needed because it is crucial to fight the coronavirus while ensuring economic recovery and social dynamism.

“Very precise and meticulous protocols which will soon be announced, have been prepared to deal with this phase. Public authorities, tourists, Tunisians living abroad and civil society must comply with the law and demonstrate good citizenship and discipline, “he told Mosaïque FM.

If all the rules are respected, Tunisia will again defeat COVID-19. The next victory will, in fact, have more importance than the previous one because the situation will be more delicate, according to Mekki.
