Tunisia – Abdellatif Mekki summoned by courts in the Jilani Daboussi case

The Party of Work and Realization announced, in a press release this Tuesday evening, “that its secretary general, Abdellatif Makki, received a summons to appear before the investigating judge on Friday, July 12, 2024, as part of this called the case of the deceased Jilani Daboussi.

In its statement, the party voiced the hope that “this accusation is not malicious nor a response to Mekki’s announcement of his candidacy for the next presidential elections.”

The party likewise affirmed its “commitment to transparency and justice” and called on the judiciary “to examine this issue objectively and impartially,” according to the text of the press release.
