Tunisia-Abdellatif Mekki:Motion of no confidence against Rached Ghannouchi will not succeed

Former Minister of Health and Member of the Ennahdha party Abdelatif Mekki responded, in a Facebook post published this Wednesday, July 29, 2020, to the motion of no confidence against the Speaker of Parliament Rached Ghannouchi.

For him, this motion will not succeed in withdrawing confidence from Rached Ghannouchi, “especially since his possible dismissal will further fuel the climate of conflict and leave the country in a fragile situation in the face of multiple attempts at foreign interference”.

In this sense, Mekki considered that “political positions should not be built on reactions but rather on well-founded and rational decisions”.

For Mekki, some MPs want to remove Ghannouchi because they simply approve of feelings of hatred.
