Tunisian sociologist and Islamologist Abdelwahab Bouhdiba passed away aged 88 on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
The deceased managed the sociology department at the faculty of human and social sciences in Tunis, the centre for economic and social studies and the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science.
He was likewise a member of the Tunisian Higher Islamic Council and a member of the executive council of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco).
