Tunisia-Abir Moussi defense committee to send petition to Presidency of Republic

PDL leader Abir Moussi’s defence team revealed in a statement issued on Friday that it had submitted a petition reporting what it described as “a corruption file committed against Moussi” and decided to direct it to the Presidency of the Republic.

In its statement, the defence team noted that it had submitted a request for permission on a petition to the President of the Court of First Instance in Tunisia to assign one of the bailiffs to report the petition, along with its proof confirming serious violations, to the interests of the Presidency of the Republic. The defence team is waiting to obtain this permission to implement its decision.

The statement also mentioned that the Ministry of Justice declined to provide lawyers with information about the fate of the complaints submitted concerning the alleged serious violations in the Moussi file. Additionally, the Supreme Judicial Council reportedly failed to consider the petitions reported to it.
