Engineer at the National Institute of Meteorology Abdel Razzaq Al-Rahhal reported today, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, that Tunisia is currently undergoing high atmospheric pressure, leading to notable stability in weather conditions and a prominent increase in temperatures.
In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, Al-Rahhal noted that the temperatures anticipated in the coming days will be approximately 6 degrees higher than the usual averages for March. He revealed that today’s temperatures are forecasted to vary from 18 to 24 degrees Celsius in the northern regions, coastal areas, and highlands. In contrast, temperatures in southern Tunisia are expected to reach between 27 and 32 degrees Celsius.
Al-Rahhal further clarified that the current rise in temperatures is momentary, as is the stability in weather conditions. He anticipates climatic shifts and a decrease in atmospheric pressure during the last six days of March. Additionally, Al-Rahhal forecasted that the country might experience some rain towards the end of March and the start of April, with more detailed updates to be provided by the Meteorological Institute.
