Tunisia – Aggression of a child in a nursery: Closure of the establishment and arrest of the owner

The Ministry for Women declared that after news of assault of a one and half-year-old child in a nursery in the region of Kairouan, an inquiry was opened and it turned out that it was an establishment operating without legal authorization.

The establishment was shut down and its owner was arrested by order of the prosecution. A forensic pathologist was commissioned to examine the child to determine the nature of the injuries and to indicate whether they were caused by an adult or a child.
