Tunisia-Aggression of a girl in Sidi Bouzid: The public prosecutor orders the detention of the stepmother

The Deputy Public Prosecutor and spokesperson for the Court of First Instance of Sidi Bouzid, Jabeur Ghnimi confirmed to Tunisie Numérique that the public prosecutor at the Court of First Instance of Sidi Bouzid took charge of the case of the 7-year-old girl who was attacked by stepmother after being notified of the images circulating on social networks and instructed the team specializing in crimes of violence against women and children in Sidi Bouzid to take the required measures.

Yesterday, the girl was invoked accompanied by her father, her stepmother, certain witnesses as well as the regional delegate for child protection. The traces of the tingling on the girl’s face were examined. The authorities questioned all parties while the victim was subjected to a medical examination.

According to the same source, the public prosecutor had decided to put the stepmother in police custody for child abuse and violence pending the finalization of legal proceedings.
