“fishery wealth has experienced a considerable drop in recent years in the governorate of Nabeul,” said Imed El Bey, president of the Regional Union of Agriculture and Fisheries in Nabeul, told Tunisie Numérique.
El Bey has, in fact, emphasised that the fishing sector is in general deteriorates from one day to the next and suffers from many significant difficulties and problems.
He clarified that this drop is due to several factors, including excessive and blind fishing and non-compliance with fishing seasons, which caused the exhaustion of fishery production.
