Tunisia-Ahlem Gzara: Vaccinated people among those admitted to intensive care units

Member of the vaccination committee Ahlem Gzara said announced that among the cases admitted to ICU units are people who have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. Nevertheless, the number of the latter stays lower than the number of people who have not got the vaccine, she added.
In this sense, she asked for compliance with preventive measures and barrier gestures even when the person in question is vaccinated, highlighting the significance of vaccination against the coronavirus, but also against seasonal flu.
Talking about the propagation of the Omicron variant (South African) in several countries, the doctor said that PCR tests allow  to detection of this new strain.
