During his recent visit to Tunisia, Osman Diouf, vice president of the World Bank for the Middle East and North Africa region, reiterated the establishment commitment to supporting the country’s development through different programs. He specifically emphasised support for human capital, and projects related to food security, water and energy.
During his meeting with prime minister Ahmed Hachani in Kasbah, Diouf underscored the excellent ties between Tunisia and the World Bank in all areas. They examined progress made in several projects financed by the Bank and explored new cooperation opportunities.
This visit is of particular importance as Tunisia aims to strengthen its infrastructure and promote economic development. The World Bank plays a critical role in providing crucial financial support as well as valuable technical expertise to help the country overcome its economic challenges and promote sustainable and inclusive growth.
