Tunisia-Ahmed Nejib Chebbi: Kais Saïed set to arrest leading activists

The founder of the National Salvation Front Ahmed Nejib Chebbi stated, on the sidelines of a press conference held today, that the head of the state  Kais Saïed continues to isolate Tunisia internationally. “After the G7, the European Union and the Commission on Human Rights, the Venice Commission issued a report to express several reservations regarding Kais Saïed’s project. The latter drives the country towards the unknown and concentrates on the organization of a referendum doomed to failure while breaking the Constitution. Saïed is preparing to use the affair of the assassination of the martyrs Chokri Belaïd and Mohamed Brahmi to apprehend leading militants in the country,” he declared, comparing the mistakes of Kais Saïed to those of the former president. Habib Bourguiba.
