The National Water Exploitation and Distribution Company (Sonede) warned on Saturday, July 17, 2021, against the rise in water needs in the light of the shortage and drought that the Tunisian state has endured for two years.
Sonede appealed to rationalize consumption, during Aid and lockdown. The company believes that all required measures have been taken to this effect, but reasonable usage of this resource remains the best way to avoid a shortage of water.
It has additionally made a free toll-free number (80100319) available to Tunisian citizens in order to provide an effective intervention service in the event of difficulties.
