“Al Bawsala” voiced several reservations on the draft of the new Constitution believing that it constitutes a foundation for an authoritarian regime.
It declared the imminent publication of a report listing the shortcomings and mistakes in the project in question. Cautioning against a “unilateral” process, Al Bawsala pointed to the extensive prerogatives that the Head of State will enjoy. According to the same source, the draft of the new Constitution will help to establish a “presidential” regime.
