Al Joumhouri party voiced its solidarity with the member of the National Salvation Front Jawhar ben Mbarek who had decided to go on hunger strike in protest against his continued detention with his comrades in the so-called “conspiracy” affair against the State.
The party holds the head of state and the Minister of Justice “responsible for the consequences of the hunger strike” on the health of prisoners in a case which has lasted for more than seven months, calling for their immediate release and the definitive closure of the case to the extent that no evidence could be established to obtain a conviction.
