Tunisia-Al Joumhouria cautions against any foreign military presence in Tunisia

Al Joumhouri communicated its firm rejection of any foreign interference in Libya, asking for a political resolution for the settlement of the crisis.

The party cautioned against any foreign military presence in Tunisia under the pretence of peacekeeping in Libya.

The political party reaction comes in reply to the declaration by the Commander of the U.S. Africa Command Stephen J. Townsend, reported by world news agencies, in which he said the U.S. Army could deploy on Tunisian soil, a brigade of assistance to Tunisian forces to monitor developments in Libya.
