Tunisia-Al-Jurshi: President of the Republic’s meetings with number of ministers were to determine what this year would be like

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, political analyst Salah  Eddine Al-Jurshi revealed that the recent meetings of the President of the Republic with several ministers are part of the new administrative year, involving coordination and organization of various matters.

Al-Jourshi believes that President Kais Saied is trying, through these meetings, to establish the tone for the upcoming year. The President expects another year of escalation in facing what he labels as corruption. Hence, the anti-corruption drive will continue to play a significant role in his policy for the third consecutive year, with people and groups being held accountable either through legal or political means.

According to al-Jourshi, the noteworthy aspect of this new step, which is essentially a continuation of the President’s set policy, is the persistence in the same direction and the same issues.

He also stressed that with the year 2024 being an election year, the emphasis will be on the presidential elections, and there won’t be anything significantly new in public policies. Nevertheless, upon closer observation, it becomes apparent that the president is adhering to the same approach and the same pledges he committed to since taking office.
