Tunisia-Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune suspends visit to Tunisia

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has suspended his state visit to Tunisia programmed for March 16 and 17, he stated at a phone call with President Kais Saied.

Tebboune announced his choice was made due to the current fragile health situation in the world because of the spread of the new coronavirus.
The phone conversation made it possible to examine the privileged relationships uniting the two brotherly countries and the common will to open up new prospects for cooperation in the various fields.
The situation in the region, converging positions between Tunisia and Algeria regarding the Libyan crisis and the need to reach an inter-Libyan solution were also discussed at the phone conversation.
