Tunisia-Ali Kooli: Financial situation is very critical

The financial situation is very critical, confirmed finance minister Ali Kooli to Mosaique FM. We are in debt and economic specialists keep saying that the country is on the brink of bankruptcy, which makes the situation even worse since other countries no longer want to grant us loans for fear of not being repaid, he added.

On the other hand, he indicated that the Mechichi government has never stated that it wants to lift the subsidies. “Nevertheless, the government will provide the subsidies to the citizens instead of the products,” he explained.
