Tunisia-Ambassador of Indonesia asks Tunis mayor to inaugurate a street in honor of Ahmed Sukarno [Video]

Tunisie Numérique had the honour to conduct an exclusive interview with Indonesia’s ambassador to Tunisia Mr Zuhairi Al-Masrawy.

On this occasion, His Excellency disclosed that he asked Tunis mayor Souad Abderrahim to inaugurate a street in honour of the first President of the Republic of Indonesia Ahmed Sukarno.

”In Tunisia, there are streets baptized on behalf of many leaders including Mohamed V, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Vladimir Ilitch Lenin and others. I suggested baptizing a street in the name of Sukarno. He is a great leader who had extremely good friendships with former President Habib Bourguiba, “he said.

He added that Ahmed Sukarno assisted Tunisia get her independence.
