Tunisia-An Emirati plane loaded with 18 tons of medical aid arrives in Tunisia

An Emirati cargo plane loaded with of 18 tons of medical aid for the benefit of Tunisia landed on Monday morning at Tunis-Carthage airport, the aid came in the context of contributions to the fight against Coronavirus, a second plane is awaited to arrive this evening, Mustapha Ferjani, Director General of Military Health told the TAP.

Ferjani revealed that the first shipment of medical aid consists of respirators and personal protective equipment for the benefit of medical and paramedical workers, indicating that it will be placed at the disposal of the Ministry of Health and the Military Health Department to strengthen public hospitals and field hospitals according to their demands.

The same source added that revealed that a second Emirati loaded cargo plane with medical aids had landed this evening, without specifying the weight of its cargo. He stressed that this aid is part of the international aid that Tunisia receives to confront the rapidly spreading Coronavirus, which has prompted the government to take exceptional measures to limit its expansion.
