Tunisia – An initiative supports presidential candidacy of Issam Chebbi

A group of politicians and activists submitted an initiative with 100 signatures in favour of the candidacy of Republican Party leader Issam Chebbi in the next presidential elections.

It should be remarked that Issam Chebbi is detained pending a known case for “conspiracy against state security”.

The initiative’s leaders confirmed that they are open to all political initiatives which “seek to unify the democratic opposition around a single candidate in the next presidential election”.
